PRIMARY PURPOSE
The responsibility of this role is to lead the housekeeping team, which includes laundry and public areas, and to uphold company standards for delivering the highest level of cleanliness for our owners and guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, and within established departmental policies and procedures, the Executive Housekeeper performs the following:General Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the department to ensure employees adhere to RiverWalk standards and
consistently meet or exceed owner and guest expectations. - Oversee supervisors of housekeeping, laundry and public areas and provide support for each.
Responsible for interviewing and hiring all employees for the entire department. - Responsible for training and supporting all employees within the department to ensure standards are being met.
- Manage the ordering and inventory for the housekeeping department, including public areas, laundry and
uniforms. - Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational and financial needs are met.
- Provide support to the General Manager.
- Approve all time-off requests and weekly timecards.
- Tour and inspect property daily to monitor cleanliness and productivity.
Manage Lost and Found and ensure items are logged and mailed in a timely manner. - Random checks of vacant rooms to ensure standards are maintained, report any engineering items to be
addressed. Adjust training as needed to adhere to standards. - Oversee the upkeep of all storage areas and linen closets. All areas are to be clean, free of any hazards
and stocked appropriately. - Become familiar with the different types of ownership and how this affects housekeeping service and
communicate this effectively to housekeeping staff. - Understand and adhere to guest privacy requests.
- Administer performance reviews on all employees in the housekeeping department.
- Communicate often with Front Desk regarding room status changes due to early departures, extended checkouts, early arrivals, etc. to ensure that all rooms are cleaned on time and within the allotted schedule.
- Responsible for complying with and enforcing all established RiverWalk Resort and all departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensures confidentiality of all RiverWalk matters. Maintains good communications; establishes and maintains positive working relationships with employees and the public.
- Performs similar or related duties as requested by the GM (for example: bed bug training).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Executive Housekeeper must possess these knowledge skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the primary functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities and to possess the necessary physical requirements without the aid of mechanical devices to safely perform the primary functions of the job.- Physical requirements include ability to bend body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist; bend the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine; extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction; stand for sustained periods of time; move about on foot to accomplish
tasks; use arms to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward; use upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects; raise objects from a lower to a higher position or move objects horizontally from position to position. - The ability to professionally communicate or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
- The ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (i.e. in a normal office setting).
- The ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Subject to atmospheric conditions with one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, or poor ventilation, including air and / or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
- Requires the ability to plan and perform a wide variety of duties requiring general knowledge of policies and procedures. Requires considerable judgement to work independently toward general results, devising methods, modifying or adapting standard procedures to meet different conditions, making decisions based on precedent and policy.
- A visual acuity sufficient to meet minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with computer terminals, extensive reading, and visual inspection.
- The ability to receive training from General Manager and Owner Services Manager on non-routine duties which may not follow standard practices and procedures. The ability to determine actions to be taken, handling all but unusual cases.
Work Schedule: 5 days per week. Thur – Mon / changes required to keep adequate staffing levels. Additional hours may be required on holidays or to cover staffing needs.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least three (3) years’ experience in Housekeeping in a resort environment. At least two (2) years supervisory experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000 - $72,000 per year depending on experience.

Property Maintenance - Days
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Supports the Engineering department by maintaining facility, grounds, and all mechanical equipment, systems, and spaces throughout the facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general direction of the Chief Facilities Manager and the direct supervision of the Engineering Supervisor and within established policies and procedures, the incumbent performs the following functions:
Essential Functions:
- Performs preventive and unscheduled corrective maintenance of buildings, exterior grounds and facilities. Performs maintenance on all mechanical facility equipment including, but not limited to mechanical equipment, HVAC equipment, telephone systems, utility systems, power distribution, all life safety systems, automatic doors and any other electro-mechanical equipment. Assists inspectors and contractors as they test, inspect or repair, as directed or requested.
- Performs regular and emergency repairs and maintenance throughout assigned facility area’s including, but not limited to, clearing clogged drains, replacing faucet washers, replacing toilet seats, repairing door hardware, replacing light bulbs/receptacles, replacing ceiling tiles and repairing other equipment. Asks for assistance when additional personnel and/or skills are required. Initiates work requests on all work performed or work being referred to the department. Performs routine preventive maintenance and/or inspection tasks as assigned.
- Reads mechanical schematics and manufacturer’s diagrams to facilitate corrective actions.
- Ensures full and uncompromised operation of all life safety systems. Performs fire and other disaster drills as required and appropriate.
- Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer’s specifications.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and evaluates their performance to locate cause of trouble.
- Repairs and replaces defective parts on all machinery.
- Adjusts or installs functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Lubricates and cleans machinery parts.
- Performs tests on various types of machinery.
- Operates saws, drills, grinders and other metal and wood working tools to make and repair parts.
- Repairs electrical equipment.
- Maintains records and other documentation as assigned or as requested.
- Maintains a working knowledge of general maintenance practices in industry.
- Ensures general building and department security by locking storage and work areas and maintaining security of tools and equipment. Assists security personnel when needed or directed.
- Performs and/or assists with renovations, building alterations, construction, and other building trade functions such as painting, flooring, plumbing, electrical, as appropriate or as assigned.
- Ensures confidentiality of all employees, legal, client/owner, budget and all other company matters at all times.

- The worker is subject to both environmental conditions and activities that occur inside and outside; extreme cold with temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. The incumbent is subject to noise which is sufficient enough to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
- The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions that affect the skin or respiratory system, i.e. fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, poor ventilation, including air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
- Ability to wear safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, mask, etc.
- Ability to endure periods of heavy workload or stress. May be required to work at accelerated pace in emergency situations.
