La Vista Italian Cuisine, located in the lobby of RiverWalk Resort is a great go-to for family dining. Kids of all ages love Italian food and with the convenience of being in the same building, it is a big hit.
You’re in the mountains now, so dining is casual just about everywhere. And, every restaurant in the Western White Mountains is family-friendly, with children’s menus and high chairs available. But, there’s a few that stand out for the kids, and the parents as well. The Woodstock Inn Station and Brewery hits on all points. The kids love the atmosphere, the burgers, chicken fingers, and french fries. The adults love the huge menu of great American fare, and the locally brewed beer, of course. Black Mountain Burger is another must when in town with the family. For breakfast, consider Flapjacks for some of the best pancakes in town or Texas Toast Restaurant for a southern twist on your first meal of the day. And, (wink wink) both are within walking distance from the resort.
Snacks & Treats
A trip to the mountains would not be the same without a family ice-cream outing, and the Western White Mountains does not disappoint. First stop, Coneheads Homemade Ice Cream in North Woodstock. You absolutely must try the maple ice cream, made from NH’s award winning Fadden’s Maple Syrup. Next stop is Udderly Delicious, just a short walk from the resort and a local’s favorite. Chutters Candy Store in Lincoln is also just a short walk from the resort. Although it is not a restaurant, you will still want to make a stop. Or, how about a cookie or fresh-made muffin from Peaked Moon Market (in the Village Shops adjacent to the resort).
The Western White Mountains Chamber of Commerce has a great list of all of the restaurants and dining options in town.
